Gameplay

For the initial release all players will be human. We haven't however ruled out adding additional races in the future.
Too many to list here! We have over 14 group instances and countless other areas. Some small, some gigantic. It will take considerable time to explore the entire world! The initial release will not feature every area of the world. However, we will be constantly be expanding the world with frequent updates.
Yes. As the game progresses players will come in to contact with a number of Factions. Players will be able to gain (or lose!) reputation, which can affect how NPCs will interact with them.
No. In Eldevin players are free to pick and choose what skills and abilities they wish to learn and improve. However there will be a limited amount of points to spend on talents and attributes.
Killing creatures and quest progression will grant experience points. Each level has an experience threshold, and when players reach this they will level up. Gaining a level will give players attribute points to spend. From level 5 onwards, players will also receive 1 talent point per level that can be spent in the talent trees.
There are currently over 100 abilities that everyone can learn. There are also 6 talent trees based around the most common types of combat. Warriors and Templars focus on melee combat, while Rangers and Assassins focus on ranged combat. Finally, Prophets and Mages are based around spell casting.
There are many professions, ranging from farming and mining to tailoring and weapon smithing.
Eldevin features both Arena and Battlegrounds. These will initially be purely for fun, however we do plan to include tournaments with in-game prizes, and a comprehensive ranking system.
Eldevin has support for a friends list and you can also create groups to complete harder quests and dungeons. We also have a system for creating and running guilds. You can also let your Facebook friends and Twitter followers know your progress by posting your achievements directly from the game.
In Eldevin, players are not tied to one specific server. If a player find that their friends are on another server, they can switch server to play with their friends. Additionally, we will have servers located in many countries around the world.
Players will begin their adventure in the small village of Othalo, outside Eldevin City, the kingdom's capital.
No. There is an overarcing story that leads the players through the different realms, but there is no requirement to follow it. Players can spend their time crafting or looting items, engaging in PvP, or exploring the many dungeons and areas. There are many non-story quests too, so there is plenty to keep players engaged.
When your character dies, you will be given a choice of where to resurrect. Usually this will be nearby. As you play through the game more resurrection points can be unlocked.
Eldevin is a free to play game. Players can enjoy the game for free and the experience can be further enhanced by becoming a subscriber or with micro-transactions through our in-game store. You can find more details about this on our forum by clicking here.
